Bizzell Receives HUBZone Certification from SMALL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (SBA)

December 10, 2021 (New Carrollton, MD) – The Bizzell Group (Bizzell), a minority-owned small business specializing in strategy, consulting, and technology, is pleased to announce the company’s certification as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) business by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The HUBZone program fuels small business growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least 3% of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year.

“The HUBZone certification will allow our firm to expand and provide employment opportunities to those in traditionally underserved areas,” said Anton C. Bizzell, M.D., President & CEO of Bizzell. “We are committed to identifying, cultivating, and connecting talent to federal projects that allow our teams to continue delivering data-driven, research-informed, innovative solutions to the world’s most complex health, economic, security, and sustainability challenges.”

To achieve HUBZone Certification, Bizzell had to meet specific criteria defined by SBA that included its principal office being located within a Federally Designated HUBZone area and 35% or more of its employees residing within HUBZone regions. As a certified HUBZone small business, Bizzell may receive program benefits, including eligibility for HUBZone set-aside awards, HUBZone sole source awards, the HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference in full and open competition, and HUBZone reserves. The HUBZone Certification also creates opportunities for Bizzell to generate additional jobs and stimulate economic development in urban and rural communities that have been designated as HUBZone areas.

IAA ensures impartiality and strict assessment criteria by setting up a jury made up of industry professionals who exhibit high standards of excellence. In turn, the jury would select a new wave of excellent individuals or organizations, who would likely set new benchmarks in their fields.

About The MUSE Creative Awards

The MUSE Creative Awards is part of the MUSE Awards Program, which was created by the IAA in 2015. IAA’s inception was based on a mission to honor, promote and encourage creativity by providing a new standard of excellence for evaluation media design production and distribution. IAA’s mission has largely shaped MCA’s goal.

At its core, MUSE Creative Awards international competition inspires creative professionals to strive for to greater heights. With their concepts, ideas or designs, these creatives light a fire in each other, thus becoming a muse.

Bizzell Celebrates World Water Day

Bizzell Celebrates World Water Day

Lack of clean water is an international crisis. Today, 785 million people – 1 in 9 – lack access to safe water and 2 billion people – 1 in 3 – lack access to a toilet. Every 21 seconds, a child dies of water-related disease. Children are often unable to go to school and women are unable to work because they spend thousands of hours annually hauling water to help maintain their homes.

To bring awareness to clean water issues, The Bizzell Group (Bizzell) is proud to help celebrate #WorldWaterDay on March 22. This virtual celebration – Valuing Water – helps raise awareness of the global water crisis and focuses on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #6 to help promote water and sanitation for all. The UN estimates that in 2017, some 3 billion people lacked the ability to safely wash their hands at home, which it notes is “one of the cheapest, easiest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of diseases like the coronavirus.”

An estimated 695 million of a global 2.4 billion people living without improved sanitation facilities live in Sub-Saharan Africa. As an organization on the frontlines of epidemiological and disease surveillance work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Africa, Bizzell finds this alarming. To help address the issue, Bizzell donated water tanks and sinks for young children living in Leve Moi Orphanage in Goma, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, housing almost 70 young children and supporting another 500 youth in the community.

In addition, Bizzell works closely with the CDC, which has a full slate of resources on the need for healthy water. Under a CDC Division of Global Health Protection contract, Bizzell communications experts develop messaging and materials to help inform and educate audiences on topics critical to global health security, including clean water access. Additionally, Bizzell supports CDC with qualitative research on messaging related to food safety, including how to properly wash foods to prevent food poisoning.

Please join Bizzell in celebrating #WorldWaterDay on March 22, when the UN World Water Development Report will be released. Register now to participate in this global webinar. The health and economic stability of the world community depend on access to clean water and sanitation facilities, and Bizzell continues to integrate our subject matter expertise, our strategic partnerships, and our philanthropic focus to build healthy, secure, connected, and sustainable communities around the world.

Bizzell Reveals Global Rebrand Ahead of 10 Year Anniversary

Bizzell Reveals Global Rebrand Ahead of 10 Year Anniversary

March 15, 2021 (New Carrollton, MD) The Bizzell Group (Bizzell), an award-winning strategy, technology, and consulting firm, announced today the launch of its new corporate brand identity and new logo design. This change comes at a time when the firm is expanding its global operations and repositioning its services to align with anticipated needs of future clients.

“Our rebranding is not just cosmetic—rather it reflects our mission of accelerating and enhancing the quality of life of the communities we serve,” said Anton C. Bizzell, M.D., President & CEO of Bizzell. “Our goal is to have a design that is realistic, remaining audacious yet intelligent. The new design is universal and will transcend across borders as we continue to expand globally.”

Designed to work effortlessly across communications channels, the new logo pulls visual cues from the original version for brand recognition, while adding modern touches that speak to Bizzell’s innovation and forward thinking.

“We took a risk by revamping a well-known and well-received visual in the space of government contracting,” said Trevis Cage, Director of Communications at Bizzell. “But that’s who Bizzell is, a risk taker that makes strategic moves, using data and industry-recognized expertise to elevate our clients’ brand identity to support their missions.”

Previously rigid and perpendicular, the new Bizzell “B” received a soft polish in which the breaks in that shape signify Bizzell’s diverse service offerings that help clients push beyond conventional ideas, amplifying their missions and accelerating change. The Brand colors and typology are directly connected to Bizzell’s core values. Orange reinforces the ideals of success, determination, and vitality. Hues of Grey provide balance and represent intellect, knowledge, and wisdom. The addition of White provides a complimentary tone of simplicity, safety, and trust. The text has smooth edges which aligns with the organization’s brand essence/culture of being unpretentious, down-to-earth, and loyal to clients, staff, and partners.

Branding is essential to any organization’s strategic communication efforts. Bizzell offers scalable, high-impact communication solutions for a wide range of clients. Learn more about Bizzell’s Learning & Engagement offerings HERE.
